My Assist PT journey started out learning about nutrition with Annette, a personal trainer based out of a private studio in Lilydale. This invaluable information she taught me started me on my way. I learnt what I should be eating to fuel my body but it wasn’t until I started personal training with Assist PT that real changes started happening for me.
I love training. I love feeling strong and the changes it is bringing to my body. I love the support, encouragement and camaraderie from the people I train with. I love that I get challenged each session but always with encouraging and motivating words from Matt and Annette. I’m amazed with the progress I’ve made and so proud of what I can do now that I would never have been able to do 12 months ago. After about 9 months of personal training using mostly weights, dumbbells and barbells, my trainer suggested we now add in some intense cardiovascular training. I began attending the group training sessions ran at Assist PT too.
I can’t lie; it was a killer! I was ready to call it quits after the warm up! Now, I can honestly say I love it. Sometimes, it’s a case of loving it once it’s finished and not during! But I’m loving that I can get through the sessions and I feel awesome afterwards. They are only 30 minutes after all. Thanks again to Matt, Annette and the trainers at Assist PT in Lilydale for always being positive and for what feels like my own little cheer squad! Thanks too for the encouraging words from all Assist PT clients – it continues to blow me away and makes me more determined to succeed. I have just begun my fourth 12 Week Challenge and I continue to learn more about myself and how best to continue this new lifestyle. The information I have learn throughout these challenges has been paramount in my transformations. Not only have I learnt how, when and what to eat to fuel my body for training and recovery but I have become mentally stronger.
I no longer doubt myself (as much as I did!) – I believe in myself and am doing things I NEVER dreamed of doing. I climbed a mountain. A BIG mountain.
It was a mental challenge for me (as the group who joined us along Razorback Ridge can attest to) but with supporting words from Matt and the group, I did it! I was so bloody proud of myself and on a high for days (I’m sure everyone got sick of me talking about it!). Now I’ve set myself another challenge of running a 10km fun run at the end of August. I’m so grateful that Matt and Annette have spent time with me to work on my training program and nutrition to best prepare me for this.
I love that my goals become their goals.
Assist PT is about training the body and the mind. The wellness meditation sessions work on changing/challenging my mindset, addressing deep-set fears and blockers and helping me to deal with these. Thanks for this opportunity. Life is great.
I have an abundance of energy, I’m happy, I feel alive and I’m working on my dreams coming true. I feel very emotional writing this as I’m so grateful I found Assist Personal Training in Lilydale and am so honoured to have the care and support of the best, most motivational trainers in the business. You don’t know how thankful I am.
