“I am incredibly grateful that you have allowed me to learn from you. You are full of life experiences. Thank you for sharing the tools that have built your successes, I really respect that. Thank you for being patient with me, when probably every nerve in you said ‘throw a chair.’ I think that the growth in me this year has been worth it in the end. Finally, thank you for being my trainer and a top trainer at that, a trainer who keeps it real and allows their clients the biggest privilege of all, which is to grow into who they know they are. Thank you” (Submitted by one of our local Lilydale personal training clients)
Oh we love this stuff!! I thought I’d share this thank you as it came through today, it wasn’t from one of our finalists but it really does sum up what we give out, in order to help our clients reach their goals.
Today we pay recognition to our inspirational stand outs clients of 2015, our clients who set a clear goal with us, put aside all excuses, made their health and fitness goals a non negotiable priority in their lives, listened and applied everything we suggested and went on to achieve some outstanding results!
ASSIST PT’S CLIENT OF THE YEAR FOR 2015 GOES TO
BEN URSICH
Congratulations Ben! It has been such a pleasure and honour to see your dreams come true this year! Matt had a chat with Ben in October 2013.
Ben was 17 years old and he had a dream to go to college in America to further his basketball career. From day 1 he turned up for strength and conditioning training 2-3 times each week without missing any sessions, he put in extra sessions on the court, followed all the nutrition guidance we gave him and managed his body with extra release work outside of his training sessions. Ben’s dedication to his goal was approached like a true athlete and as we like to say, he has been stamped as “conditioned beyond game ready”!
This year he attracted media reports labelling him as the VYC league’s best two-way player. He won the Coaches Award, his team became the VYC State Champions and to top off an outstanding season with the VYC Kilsyth Cobras, Ben the achieved his ultimate goal in August this year, getting signed to Georgia Regents University to join the Jaguars NCAA Division II powerhouse team!
As trainers, it is our upmost pride and joy to have a client come to us with a life changing goal, work at it relentlessly and then achieve it. Ben, we could not be prouder of you. Congratulations on being named our inspirational client of the year! You can read more on Ben’s story here But the talent doesn’t end there! Here are the rest of our nominations for Assist PT’s Client of the Year for 2015, each and every one, winners in their own right!
EBONY KAY
Miss Ebony Kay! You only need to look at Ebony’s face in these photos to see the amazing transformation that has taken place. It’s far more than the 33kg she has lost, it’s a whole new lease on life, an amazing woman who has gone forward leaps and bounds in her career, a wonderful role model to our community and a happy Aunty who has her young nieces doing healthy cook ups with her and all!
Ebony, we are so thrilled to see you not only come this far but also stay so consistent with your training and nutrition. Thank you for letting us share these amazing photos! 2016 is going to be your best one yet! You are a champion! We couldn’t be prouder of your progress this year! You are not only beautiful, witty, strong and loveable, we see you so often you have become like family to us! Congratulations on being recognised as one of our clients of the year! So proud! Buckle up because next year will be one hell of a ride for you!
JACKSON BRAZIER
Our next client of the year nomination has been awarded to Jackson Brazier! Jacko has been recognised for his outstanding transformation that came along with his basketball conditioning program we designed to help him improve on court performance. Jacko needed to increase lean mass as playing as a 3 man in the SEABL Kilsyth Cobras team, he plays against opponents 15-20kg heavier than he is. While the goal was to strap some lean mass to Jacko’s frame, we were careful not to hinder his performance on the court but rather improve his athleticism. Another fine transformation I’m sure you’ll agree!
SIMONE CONNER
Congratulations to Simone Conner! Simone started her journey with us 6 years ago. Simone was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago and has been on numerous medications and trial drugs. Now Simone has found that her attacks are best managed by nutrition and keeping strong, fit and healthy. Check her out! This after photo was taken earlier this year and Simone has dropped even more since then! Not only has she made a fantastic lifestyle change, she has also inspired her 70+ years young Mother, Lola to join us for training too! A very inspiring Mother and Daughter duo!
AMY THOMPSON
Amy has been recognised for taking out six of the female PB records on our wall of fame! In her journey so far she has also lost over 20kg from seeing us for 3 weekly training sessions. Some of Amy’s PB’s have been her 6 rep max sets of 100kg deadlifts, 60kg barbell bench press and 70kg Bent Over Rows, just awesome! Well done Amy! You are strong, beautiful and on a wonderful journey!
KYLE ADNAM
Our next nomination for client of the year goes to Kyle Adnam! Kyle has been chosen in recognition for his athletic ability and on court performance. After his season as point guard with the Assist PT Kilsyth Cobras, Kyle signed with Melbourne United for the 2016 NBL season. His dominant point play this year earned him a second consecutive Youth Player of the Year award and he was also named as part of the All-SEABL team. An outstanding achievement! Congratulations Kyle!
KATIE MAYCOCK
Katie joined us for a 16 week INBA comp prep, hitting the stage in September this year. Comp prep requires 100% dedication and trust in your coach. The first thing we did was cut back on the amount of training Katie was doing prior to seeing us, this included no cardio! We changed up her nutrition based on her muscle testing sessions too. Katie followed all our training, nutrition and supplementation guidance and it turned out to be a wonderful and fun experience for us all. Well done Katie and congratulations on being nominated as one of our clients of the year!
BEC PIGGOTT
Bec broke her back on Australia Day in 2013, she spent a week in the Austin then at home flat on her back for 3 months. In the 5 years prior to seeing us she has also had 4 knee surgeries and suffered with a bad hip. Bec came to see us for our 12 week challenge in January 2015 and in 12 weeks she lost over 10kg of body fat while gaining 3.4kg lean muscle and more from a personal perspective! Bec, when times got tough, you could have quit, instead you reached out for help, you trusted us and addressed what needed to be addressed. We are so proud of your turn around and the way you have pushed through to where you are now. Keep up the fantastic work and thank you for the positivity you share to our community! And last but not least,
JAY NEWPORT
Some of you may remember this lovely face! Jay Newport is very aware of our training systems after working with us as a PT last year but he returned as a client for 12 weeks this year for accountability, training and nutritional guidance and tweaking. As a team we worked together and as you can see, the results were outstanding! These results are only possible when a client is dedicated and committed to reaching their goal.
Jay has been recognised because of his amazing attitude, commitment and dedication. We managed to get him to knuckle down with his nutrition and ended up doing absolutely everything we asked of him, not only here at the studio, but outside of here too. Jay, we couldn’t be prouder of your amazing 12 week transformation. Thank you for following the plan we set before you Jay! We just love ya to bits!
There are so many more inspirational clients that make up our community, thank you to each and every one of you who have been a part of the Assist PT family! It has truly been a wonderful year! But it doesn’t end there!! 2016 will be our biggest year yet! We kick off our first 12 week challenge for 2016 on 30th January. It’s already half full! If you are ready to get comfortable with the uncomfortable, call us today! We have also restructured our packages to deliver even better results and we already have 5 massive courses booked in! Stay tuned for what we have to share and join us on facebook and instagram.
