It started with the Great Wall of China Half Marathon Prep and continued with the Belfast Marathon, Traralgon Marathon, Gold Coast Marathon, Canberra Marathon and Osaka Marathon! Running his way around the world!
Neil’s training for the Great Wall of China Marathon was done under the care of Annette. Since then, Neil continued training with Matt and has gone on to complete many more events around the world.
Let’s face it there is no better way to see an Iconic World Landmark than to run on it.
A couple of years ago I decided to do a Half Marathon along The Great Wall of China. Let’s face it there is no better way to see an Iconic World Landmark than to run on it. What an opportunity and one I will never forget.
I was training with Annette at the time but this gave me a real focus. My little project was greeted with great enthusiasm by Annette (we all know that wry smile that means ‘pain’) and she devised a training program targeted to the challenge ahead. We focused on building strong legs, a strong core and cardio for endurance. I became ‘good’ friends with the stepper and had very clear guidance as to what had to be achieved.
Annette is very focused and will not tolerate poor form. She is very focused on ensuring proper technique for posture and the only way to improve is to do the little things correctly.
Never underestimate the value of resistance training for strength, fitness and general wellbeing.
