Before joining Assist PT I was heading down a path where I felt I was losing control of my eating habits. I was eating the wrong foods multiple times a day in large quantities. My weight began to increase, my clothes were getting tighter and in less than a year I had gained 14kg. Looking at a photo of myself from November 2016 was my breaking point. I was ashamed of what I had let myself get to. It really hit me that I had given up, let myself go and that I knew I needed help.
Scrolling through facebook late one night Assist PT popped up. Being impulsive, I put in my details then fell asleep.
To be completely honest when Annette rang the following day I had no clue who she was. After a good 30 minute chat, Annette really hit home and had me pumped for a change.
I booked in for a food assessment with Annette which resulted in me avoiding foods my body tested sensitive too, which were gluten and dairy.
At first it was very daunting. “No more pizza!” was my first thought. But within the first 2 weeks of my new diet and two 1-on-1 PT sessions a week, I started to notice the incredible effect it had on my body. Not only physically, but mentally too!
I had started my 12 week challenge never having even set foot in a gym before and after my first session I was hooked. I lost 12.5 kilos in 12 weeks!
After my 12 week challenge came to an end I stayed on with Assist PT and I am now working with Matt to build muscle and tone up.
